Terms and Requirements
Lessons are purchased in advance and are available in bundles or as individual appointments. Mark has the ability to set up an “auto debit” if you wish to have a continual weekly lesson at the $65 rate after your first 10 lessons.
Mark will contact you via email within 24 hours after lessons have been purchased to set up a time slot. If purchasing multiple lessons, they will generally take place on a weekly basis with a consistent time slot until all lessons have been fulfilled.
If you need to reschedule a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours notice or you risk forfeiting that lesson credit.
Mark will occasionally need to reschedule or postpone regular time slots due to shows and tours. This will be scheduled and students will be alerted in advance. This kind of delay usually will not last longer than 2 weeks.
You will need:
-A guitar
-Skype, available for free at skype.com
-High speed internet connection
-Webcam with microphone (newer laptop webcams and built-in mics will likely work just fine)
Feel free to reach out to Mark at kroosms@gmail.com if you have any questions. Happy strumming, picking, tuning and tapping!
*Entry-Level Students: If you are an absolute beginner or if you are seeking entry-level lessons for a child, I would probably recommend your local music store. Online lessons are fantastic, but when a student is first starting out, some of the very basic techniques on the guitar require in-person attention to avoid developing bad habits.
That said, you don't need to be very far along in your playing. If you consider yourself a “beginner,” but you've had a guitar for a while, you some chords, maybe a few strumming patterns and you want to level up, let's go for it!
